Smile and Be Happy
This was made for one of our dear elderly ladies when her husband passed. They were married for 50 to 60 years. When I went to visit her one day she expressed how much she missed him, especially in the evenings when it got dark. It was too quiet.
The husband, originally from Hawai’i, was a man with a great big smile and full of Aloha spirit. Knowing he wouldn’t want her to be sad and that he would never leave her side, felt this was the message with the brightness of his spirit he would want to give her.
Most Western beliefs regarding afterlife separate the deceased from the living. Most Eastern beliefs follow the path of continuity; either cyclic or linear, but almost always connected.
Whatever belief you follow, we all still miss the physical presence of any loved ones who have passed. However, as long as we honor their memories, we will always keep them alive in our hearts.
Are you smiling for them today?
